RIFF OFFENSIVE.
INCREASING THE PRESSURE. (Australian and N.Z Cable Association. PARIS, July 2(i. A later report from Fez does not mention a general Riff offensive, but says the French attacked a strong rebel thrust in the Tnza - region, indicting heavy losses. An official communique reports that a I tempted enemy infiltrations were thrown back. The French air force effectively bombarded the rebel positions.
(Reuter’s Telegram.) PARIS, .Tune 27. Advices from Rabat confirm the opening of the enemy offensive at Tazafcd road. The French frustrated the attack, which was delivered by 5000 disaffected tribesmen, supported by a few Riff detachments. A communique reports that Riffs have been strongly reinforced and have increased the pressure at Ekcbir river. , The French, supported by aircraft, vigorously resisted.
BLOCKADE OF MOROCCAN COAST

Übo Powers have been notified of a Fraimo-Spanish agreement to blockade the Riff coast. It provides for the division of the Moroccan coast into sectors and the mutual use of certain French’ and Spanish ports by the warships of the two nations.
