Vulcanised Repairs! In the manufacture of Motor Tillies, sheets of uncured rubber are adjusted round a straight metal vulcanising pipe. The.sheet edges overlap, and the whole is smoothed down, rolled to a uniform thickness, and wound with special two-inch fabric ribbon. The tube (in the making) is then vulcanised, and later, ribbon removed, it is drawn off the pipe, being turned inside out in the process, hence the spiral, ribbon markings on tho interior of a motor tube. The valve is then inserted, and the two ends of the tube are butted and vulcanised together. The whole process of manufacture is “Vulcanisation.” When a tube is punctured, tho only lasting repair is effected by vulcanising a. piece of uncured rubber in the, aperature; the repair is then part and parcel of the tube itself. A blow-out is treated by cutting the ragged edges away, leaving a clean bevelled edge, inserting a piece of tube rubber, tilling the cavity between section and tube with uncured stock, and vulcanising. The process of repairing is exactly the process of tube •manufacture —that is “Vulcanising.” A vulcanised repair is the only lasting repair, for it is really rubber fused to rubber. A correctly vulcanised repair will not leak or blow-out, collapse, become weak or deteriorate; if is as strong as the tube, and lias .the same elasticity. TYRE SURGERY REPAIRS are Vulcanised repairs, and because of Ibis the guarantee is given—'“Repairs Guaranteed for the Life of the Tube.” TYRE SURGERY PHONE 718 DERBY STREET (OPPOSITE TOWN SCHOOL) THE WISE PAINTER —The Painter who knows the Paint, lie uses if? most economical, because it covers more surface, and when the job is linished, knows that it will be a last* mg one, is the Painter who uses ([HEREFORD (PAINTS These are to be had in All Shades and Colors—in qualities • for Interior or Kxlerior DecorationsF.
