MISSING WOMAN.
MINES CLOSE DOWN
WHILE MINERS SEARCH. SYDNEY, June 10. —For almost a week large parties of miners, police, and civilians combed the mountains between Thirroul and' Stanwell Park on the south coast in search of Mrs Dwyer,/(in elderly'woman and wife of a miner, who disappeared from her home at Thirroul last week. The search has now been abandoned and no trace of the woman lias been found. The police stated that over three hundred miners had taken part in the long search, and it cost them over £2OOO between £5 and £7 cadi. They hr,;l thoroughly combed the hush and mountains for many miles. Some mines were closed down during tho search. The miners had examined every spot she could have reached. Her disappearance is a mystery.
