BRITISH PLANE SHOT DOWN.
MISHAP IN IRAQ.

The Colonial Office; announces that a British aeroplane was shot down by rifle tire at Iraq during the action against a Yezidi chief who thrice refused to attend a- Government conference to discuss rival claims for supremacy, after prolonged lighting with another local chieftain.
The bodies of the pilot and mechanic were recovered.

The quelling quickly of the recent disturbances at Kirkruk by tho use of airplanes was advanced as another illustration.
