CONFISCATED LIQUOR.

PROBLEM OF STORAGE. (Reuter's Telegram.) (Received March 2, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, March 1. The problem, of storing confiscated liquors has reached a stage next in importance to the enforcing of the dry law itself, according to Treasury officials. Assistant Secretary Moss said : “We are almost at our wit's end, and there seems to be no promise of a let up.” It is estimated that tlie prohibition authorities, excluding the coast guard, seized seventeen million gallons of contraband intoxicants during the past year, over half of which tlie Federal authorities were responsible for storing, before authorisation of destruction.
