AGRICULTURE.
DISCUSSION BV SENATE. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. To-day the, Senate of the New Zealand University again considered the question of education in agriculture. The Hon. G. Fowlds. in moving that the Auckland University College he recognised as a School of Agriculture, said that a bequest of £20,000 was made by thei late Sir John Campbell for the establishment of a chair of agriculture nt Auckland. . Applications had been invited for the position of professor. The Hon. J. A. Hanan seconded tbs motion,, which was supported by Mr. Acland and others, and the motion was carried by 22 votes to 1, the dissentient being Mr. Delnmarc.
