HIGHEST SCORE ON TOUR

VANCOUVER DEFEATED BY 49 TO NIL.

(like. Tel, Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reuter’s Telegram.) VANCOUVER, Feb. 14. The New Zealand All Blacks defeated a, picked Vancouver team by 49 points to nil. Nine thousand people saw the match, (tie largest crowd that ever attended a sporting event in Vancouver. The visitors showed the local men how the Rugby game should be played, running up the highest score on their tour.

Sporting experts are loud in their praises of the New Zealanders’ work. A feature of the game was a try scored by Nepia. He sneaked up quietly on" tile three-quarters’ play, and before the Vancouverites kn.ew what was happening he had the ball over the line.

Richardson, of course, was absent through a broken leg, and Porter’s training injury is still painful enough to keep him off the field.

THE MATCH AGAINST ENGLAND

The Rugby Union meeting received tho report of- a Commission which inquired into Umpire Freethy’s report of January 7, and decided to censure Edwards for undue roughness. The New Zealand Union will deal with the report referring to Brownlie.
