At the Supreme Court, the jury, after four hours’ deliberation, failed to agree on a. charge (If manslntighter against Joseph Ballo in respect to the death, at Hamilton, of Maurice Enoch Ansell, who was knocked down by a. motor driven, by the accused on May 6. Deceased 1 was riding a bicycle behind which accused’s car came up and then deceased turned to the right. Aroused swerved, hut hit the bicycle. ' The defence was to- the effort, that accused had 1 exercised reasotinblio care in attempting to pass the cyclist. A now trial at the next criminal sessions at Auckland was ordered, a change of venue having been granted from Hamilton for the original 'hearing. *
