Cray’s poultry sale will he held tomorrow 'morning .at 10.30 a.m. flood entries have been received.* Daffodil growers will he interested to know that the secretary of the Poverty Jjay Horticultural Society has received letters from three big daffodil growers from outside districts, intimating their intention of competing largely at the society’s show to ho held on the 10th and 11th September; also two other outside growers will he competing in all the seedling classes. This will he the first year that the society has had outside competition, and it will he interesting to 1 see how the local growers compare with, the growers from other districts. This outside competition should be a great benefit to the society and Gisborne generally, as a representative from each district will be coming to Gisborne, and very likely spend a week while here for tlw show.
