WAIROA RAILWAY BRIDGE.
TRAFFIC WAY WANTED
WELLINGTON, last, night
Mr. G. McKay gave notice to ask the Minister of Public Works whether he will seriously consider the necessity when erecting tlie railway bridge over the Wairoa river of adding a traffic way to the same structure. He says it is rumored that it is the intention of the Minister to let by 'contract the construction of the railway line between Wairoa and Tutira. The present road is in danger of slipping into the river, and only quite recently it cost £IOO to clear slips, etc., on this particular piece of road, which may become impassable at any time and cut otT the traffic between Napier and Wairoa.
