MATERNAL MORTALITY.
REPLY TO DOCTORS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. In regard to maternal mortality, it if contended by the medical profession that of 755 deaths referred to, only 322 were deaths from what the profession understands as sepsis. As against the doctors’ contention re the inclusion of abortion cases, it is stated they are excluded, and appear in the statistics as homicide.
