HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
MEETING 'OF EXECUTIVE. The weekly meeting of the P.B. Hoo*ey Association was held last evening, i-lie chairman, Mr. A. Uass-in, presiding. ( Correspondence was received from the Gisborne Borough Council, notifying t-haf- it had! agreed! ter remit ground fen; for the days during May on which the grounds were unfit to play on. The Muiiutukc’ Hotkey Club wrote asking thait the match ManuUvke v. Mnriwai be played at Matuituke on Thursday or Friday next. It was decided- to hold the matter over until- next week, pending notification from Muriwai that they ■>V(M’e> willing, to play on any day other lian a Slat in day. A committee, consisting Of Messrs. Keii'e Keiv, Duncan,, and Henderson was appointed to revise the rules o,f the xinapu Rose Bowl country teams’ competition, as submitted Do the meeting by the chairman. ’ A complaint was received from one of the teams that insulting remarks had been made about members of their team during the progress of a match. The secretary was instructed to write assuring the team they would instruct referees to report any such occurrence, to Hip association, and they would deal drastically with any person making such remarks. , The chairman reported the committee appointed by Lady Cari'oll to draft rules governing the shield would have the proposed nfies finally revised on Wednesday next, and they would crane before the association next meeting. The Mqtu-Madv and Ma.tawa-i men’s hockey clubs wrote asking that particulars he sent of how to form a. snibassociation. The secretary was instructed to forward the information required. The following fixtures were set down for this week : THURSDAY. Ladies, seniors: Ilia Toa. v. Allies*, at 3 p.m., No. 2 ground; referees, Messrs Grade and Morris. High School a bye. Ladies, juniors: St. Winifred’s v. High School, at 3 .p.m., on High School ground; referees, Messrs. Adams and Saunders. Men; Kiwi v. Foresters, No. ground, a(. 2 p.m.: referees, Messrs Grade and Gardner. Mahaki, a bye. SATURDAY. * Ladies, seniors: Muriwai v. Rovers, at 2.30 p.m., No. 2 ground; referees,, Messrs Henderson and Duncan. High School 1 v. Mahaki, at 1.30 p.m., No. 2 ground; referees, Messrs Henderson and Simile. Men: Kiwi v. Civil Service,, at 2 p.m., on No, 1 ground; referees, Messrs Te ll.iu: and llaapu.
