DEVELOPMENT OF THE CRISIS.
MTLLERAND'S ATTITUDE,
(Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PARIS, June 5. Tile Presidential crisis is expected to develop to-day, when M. Herriot will be summoned to the Elysee. It is rumored that he will decline office unless M. MJllerand promises to resign. M. Millerand will certainly refuse to give an undertaking. There are a variety of forecasts' of subsequent events, but these are purely speculative. M. Herriot, as guest ot the AngloAmerican journalists' lunch on Wednesday said:—"My programme, summed up, is order, progress and'Stability. I will try to give peace to Europe anil the world. I shall try to take Mr. Ramsay MacDonald as my mode'l, for he is sincere and straightforward and an enemy of devious paths of diplomacy."
HERRIOT DECLINES PREMIERSHIP.
