BIG STRIKE IMMINENT IN ENGLAND.

LONDON, May 6. The Daily Herald says: A national strike affecting half a million building trade workers appears, inevitable. The operatives have rejected' the employers' offer of a halfpenny an hour instead of the twopence demanded, and voted for a strike, the date whereof has been fixed but not disclosed.
