Practically no maize came to band from the Const since last week, reports the Star, but a small quanf'ty of South African was brought by the Kawatere. Now that colder weather is setting in more maize will be required by poultry feeders. Further lots are being offered for prompt shipment at uriees which enable it to pay duty and be landed under the cost of the New Zealand grown grain.
