ART DIRECTOR APPOINTED.

(Received Ma.y 7, 10 a.m.) LONDON, May 6. Mr. A. J. Fisher has been appointed director of the Elam School of Art, Auckland, and sails in the- Raniline. He is aged twenty-seven, without administrative experience, but is vigorous and up-to-date.
