(Per Press Association.) NELSON, this day. At the Oddfellows’ Conference the board of directors submitted a. report to the effect that it was not deemed advisable to take over the society magazine. Tile report was approved. Appreciation of the hospitality accorded to the delegates was recorded, and the conference closed. A serious motor accident occurred in Trafalgar street south last evening. A cur driven by Norman Cameron, who was conveying a number of young ladies home after a sewing lesson, got out of control coining down College Mill and crashed into an electric light polo. Owen Penny, daughter of Mr \V. .1, Penny, sustained', a broken jaw, broken arm, and ether serious injuries to the head and body. The other occupants were net seriously injured. •DUNEDIN, this day. At the Port Chalmers Police Court this morning Albert Solberg and Rolf Olsen were lined £2 and costs for assaulting an officer of the Sir .Tames Clark Ross. Segwald Sorenson was tim'd 10s and costs for a breach of (he peace. Arne Matesou was ordered to pay costs for obstructing the police. Aviken Krustionsen was lined 10s and costs for a breach of the peace? and ordered to pay £5 for damage to a constable’s uniform. Walter Leonard .lames Cameron and John Richards, charged with having conspired with each other to defraud the Core Racing Club, by entering the trotting horse, The Dingo, in the Balfour Trot under the false name of Kingsdnle, were further remanded till Wednesday next.
