WAIPIRO BAY.
The Bishop of Waiapu visited us on Sunday, March 29th, and held a confirmation service in the Trading Co.'s wool store, which is at present serving as a church. There: was a good congregation present. The foundation stone of the new church is to be laid on Friday. The old church has already been pulled down, ind has been sold to the recreation grounds commit tee. It is to be made into a pavilion for the recreation grounds. it is expected that the new church will be commenced shortly.
On Tuesday afternoon a tennis party was held at Mr. A. M. Bealc's residence, ind the Bishop proved his prowess in the realm of sport.—Correspondent.
