PARAMOUNT’S MOVIE SEASON.

The Paramount greater movie season wiil he celebrated in this city for one month commencing on March the Ist. Specnil arrangements have been made with the Palace Theatre to screen during this period the very best that can heoffered in screen entertainment.

In the past Paramount has led the world in moving pictures, and realising to-day that tlie public demand is for bigger and better subjects, this organisation lias assumed a policy that is in keeping with the demand. To-day some- of the greatest productive brains of the world are associated with the famous Lasky organisation. Such men as Cecil B. DcAlille, who have provided a quota of the world’s entertainment, has been retained by Paramount to make pictures for the future. Tho past of Paramount has been e great one and pictures Hint loom largely in tlie public mind are “The Slicik,” “Manslaughter,” “Blood -and Band,” “The Old Homestead,” . “To Have and to Hold,’’ “Bella Donna,” aim many others of the same calibre. At present “The Covered Wagon” is breaking all records in New Zealand centres. For the future attention may be dram to such attractions as “Hollywood,” Cecil B. De Mille’s “Ten Commandments,” “Big Brother,” from the novel by Rex Beech, “The Call of the Canyon,” by Zane Grey, “The Light that Failed,” from Rudyard Kipling’s novel, “North of 36,” by Emerson Hough, author of “The Covered Wagon,” “Ruggles of Red Gap,’ 1 and “West of tho Water Tower.” It is in honor of what has gone before, of what is being done, and of what will ho done in the future that the Paramount greater movie season is being held. During this time tlie very best in motion pictures will bo screened in all houses showing Paramount.
