The Wellington regatta was rowed here to-day in ideal weather, with a light southerly breeze. There were 76 crews competing. Results were : Maiden double! seals, one mile, clinker: Avon (Christchurch) 1, Wanganui Union 2, Wellington 3. Time, 6.47 3-5. Avon obtained the lead at half a mile and held it, easily winning by two lengths, half a length between second arid third. Maiden fours, 1 mile: Picton 1, Wellington 2, Wanganui Union 3. Time, 6.2. Eight crews started. Picton, Wellington, and Wanganui Union fought out the finish, Picton winning by a length.

Senior sculls for Pearce Challenge Cup, 1« miles: AramoTio 1, Wellington 2, Wanganui TJnion 3. The only starters. Godfrey maintained a loud, and won by three lengths. Smith (Wanganui), retired at half way. Time, 10.34 2-5.

Junior single sculls: Wanganui Union 1, Wellington 2. Petorie 3. Won by 3 lengths, 6 lengths between second and third. Time, 6.46 Senior fours, 2 miles, best and best, first £l6: Blenheim 1, Canterbury 2. Time 13.18 2-5. Blenheim he’d a length’s lead all the way, increasing it at tha finish and winning bv four lengths.
