A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Dec 31. The King and Queen sent a message to the Poor Children's Dinner at the Guildhall, wishing them a Happy New Year.
OTTAWA, December 31
Mr. Massey, through the Australian Press Association, has addressed New Zealand as follows:
"On this glad New Year, my thoughts are with my fellow citizens in New Zealand, and although separated by thousands of miles of ocean, I fervently hope that the prosperity and happiness'which their industry and energy so fully deserve, will attend them right through the year on which we are entering."
