REUNION EFFORTS.
VIEWS OF ANGLICAN BISHOPS:
(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Dec. 31. The Anglican bishops are divided. Over thei value of the reunion efforts.
The Bishop of Durham says: The. reunion with Rome cannot be usefully discussed until lhe Papacy's present claims are abandoned and it frankly recognises the Anglican churches.
The Bishop of Salisbury says: The Malines Conference, like) the conferences with the Free Churches, follows naturally upon the Lambeth appeal to ail Christian people. The Bishop of Chelmsford says that he is profoundly glad to hear of any movement towards unity.
The Bishop of Hereford fays that no reunion of Christendom ignoring the Church of Rome can be i-egarded as adequate. s •
