OARSMAN LOSES LIFE.
STRUCK BY MOTOR BOAT, MELBOURNE, Dec. 20.—1 n full view of Princes bridge, M. Carroll, aged 10, of North Melbourne, who was out in a skiff on the Yarra, lost his life. The skiff was struck by a motor boat, and tfcie young v oarsman, who ~was thrown out wajs apparently swimming confidently for the ah,c?,«l when he suddenly threw ii,p his bands and' sank. He failed to reappear, and diving and dragging operations were unsuccessful in recovering thpi body. •
