The first COBO was John Baldwin Adams against the Wellington Patent Slip Company, /in which the jury awarded £127 to plaintiff, alleging u>: had contracted skin disease thiiougli bundling bedding from a steamer while employed by the defonda.nt company. The second case / ,wttsi an.action by James William' Boyce against the /Union Steamship. Company wherein the jury alarded plaintiff tho vfull amount'undcr statute £750 for injuries received while working, on tho steamer.
