The establishment of Muori Ethnological Research Fund is un interesting proposal contained in the Native Land Amendment and Native Claims Adjustment Bill, introduced in the House by Governor’s messago yesterday. Tho purposes of the fund are the promotion of study and investigation ol the arts, language, customs, history, and traditions of the Maori and cognate race.-, of the South Pacific Ocean, as well as the collection of records and tho publication or preservation of anything deemed desirable by the Research Board. The Native Minister may requisition any District Maori Land Board, out of interest received, or the Native Trustee, out- of his profit and lps.s account, to contribute to tho fund.
