At the forthcoming wool sales 160,G00 bales of free wools will be offered, of which it is estimated about 40,000 are merinos, 11,000 from tho Cape; also 70,IXa> bales of Bawra crossbreds will be offered.

WELLINGTON, last night

Tho wool sale at Wellington to-day was well attended. In all 1975 bales of fleece wool were in evidence, but not a sufficient quantity to warrant special quotations. Crutchings constituted the bulk of the offerings. There were limited orders from Japan and Bradford, and local operators. Super crossbred sold at to Bd, but tho bulk at to 7d. Trices were lower than the May prices by a full penny. There was a good demand by local scourers for locks, bellies and pieces, and the same decline. Tho highest prices were : Merino crutchings lOd, lambs s£d to 13d, pieces and bellies 7£d, backs crutchings, halfbr6d 9|d, super B|d, seedy and inferior sd.
