BIG MEAT MOVE.
£250,000 CO-OPERATIVE CO
BRISBANE, July 12—An important development took place in connection with the meat industry, in the launching of a company, with a capital of £250,000, by the Queensland Cattle Growers' Association. ' v
The objects of the company embrace the establishment of meat works in Queensland, abattoirs, and the organisation of selling agencies oversea. The provisional directors are: R. C. Philp (chairman), John Armstrong, T. J. Atkinson, G. A. Atthow, J. A, Browne, A. W. Campbell, Donald Gunn, E. A. Hawkins, Thomas Hawkins, Godfrey Morgan, A. R. Scott, E. A. Tpenerry, and J. A. Walsh. Dividends are not to exceed 7 per cent. Provision is made that three-fourths of the shares- must' be held by the people who grow the primary products, or some of them, in respect of which the business of the company is being carried on.
