The nurses are worked to a standstill, the., relief work falling chiefly on probationers. !Pfir Press Association.) • WELLINGTON, this day. - The Health Department reports that the case's of pneumonic influenza and pneumonia in various health districts for tho week' ended yesterday vero as follows : • Auckland: Pneumonic influenza cases 18, deaths 7; i>neumonia cases 9, death 1. i Hawke’s Hay: Pneumonic influenza case 1, death 0; pneumonia, case 1, death 0. Wanganui and Taranaki: Pneumonic influenza cases 10, death 0; pneumonia cases 1, death 0. Wellington.: Pneumonic influenza rases. 5, deaths 2- pneumonia cases 5; deaths iy , ' v Canterbury : Pneumonic influenza ca-es 62, deaths 7; pneumonia cases 5, deaths v Otago: Pneumonic influenza cases 53, deaths 19; pneumonia cases 2, death 0. , North Auckland reports no cafe of influenza or ipneumonia- for the week. The Health Department states that the figures quoted above strengthen the view that the present influenzal epidemic is in no way dissimilar from that of 1920. DUNEDIN, this day. During the last 24 hours there were 13 \ notifications of pneumonic cases ip Otago and Southland, and two deaths in Dunedin. .
