HOLY TRINITY GIRLS' CLUB.

A service of admission for members of Holy Trinity Girls' Club was held in Holy Trinity Chinch hist, evening, when live girls were admitted to membership. The vicar, Canon Packe, conducted the service, and also gave a most inpressivc address on "Vocation," basing his remarks on "Speak, Lord, for Thy servant heareth," and the call of Samuel. People, he said, have to wait sometimes for God to speak to them. God speaks in times of suffering, and sorrow, through nature, in family life, and through the moral law. He also calls men and women to work in the brotherhoods and sisterhoods of the church, to give themselves up to self-sacrificing, work amongst Christ's poor, the sick, and the heathen. Perhaps God would speak to the members of the club during the coming mission of healing, and they would realise what their vocation was then. They should ask the question, "Lord, what would Thou have mo to do?" He called upon the members to help the sick and suffering in their prayers, and by attending . the weekly intercession service on a Wednesday evening he (the vicar) would be glad of tho members' help in the spiritual healing mission, as nurses, V.A.l).'s, and intercessors. Before the close of his address, tho vicar gave special advice to those joining tho club that evening. During the service, tho hymns "O Praise Our God To-day" and "Jesus Calls us O'er tho Tumult" were sung. The service closed with the benediction. Next Thursday will mark the eighth aniversary of tho inauguration of tho club.
