BUILDING SOCIETIES' RETURNS.
(Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day.. An alteration in the law relating' to annual returns submitted by the registrar of building societies is proposed in an amendment to the Industrial and Provident Societies Act, I§oß, which is in charge of the Hon. RJ F. Boliard. At present annual returns have be sent in before Juno 1 each .year, and inust_ show the workings up. to December 31 preceding. The proposal is that future returns should bo sent within three months after' the date of the annual balance, of the society's accounts, and should include activities up to the date of. the annual balance.
