AUCKLAND, last night
Floods have been experienced at Raugitiri, where the Waikato river lias Overflowed: Tie s'toro and post office combined is practically surrounded, and it is possible to get by boat from the building to the fiver. The road to the station is practically impassable 'for motors. Tho water?i's| rising at Mercer, increasing about 3sin. on Monday, and that night many square miles were un der water, the depth ranging from a few inches to several feet. No stock losses or serious damage is reported, but further rain may make conditions serious;
A Large containing 90 sacks of coal was washed away from its moorings at Firth's pumice mill, Ohinewai, and has not been seen since.
