A proposal that the electrical engineer should, after the current month, be required to report directly to the Council, and not as hitherto, to the resident engineer,,was mado by Cr. Collin at the Borough Council meeting last night. Cr. Todd seconded this proposal, pointing out that of the eleven applicants for the post of resident engineer not one had stated that he knew anything about electricity. The proposal was adopted.
