WOOL SALES.
STRIKE CAUSES POSTPONEMENT.
.Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Pi*ss Assn.i (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.! LONDON,-July 9. At tlie wool sales practically no merinos were but there wasi a good offering of average quality crossbred. New Zealand sales were: Kaiwara, 24d; Ugbrooke, 234 d; H.8.M.C., 25d.
Tho Bradford market is very quiet, with little inquiry. Crossbrcus and merinos are stagnant. Owiiijr to the dockers' strike the wool sales, have been postponed till July 17.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received tho following cable from their head office, London; under tho date of the 9th inst: "Owing to strike at docks sales will bo suspended from 9th July to 16th.. July, both days inclusive. If circumstances permit recommencement of sales will begin on tho 17th July."
