MATAWHERO STOCK SALE.

The Matawhero stock sale, was conducted undier most unpleasant conditions to-day. The stock yarded by no means appeared at their best. There was a fair attendance of buyers l . Owing to the largo yarding of fat sheep and pigs to be dealt with,'very few store sheep hadl come Tinder the hammer before tho luncheon adjournment. . ■ > Some good quality animals were to be reen in the fat sheep pens and the good prices ruling last week were maintained!, There was a, moderate! yarding of fat cattle, only a couple of good) quality cows being includted and sold up to £4 be, while another pen made £4 2s 6d. A very heavy yarding of pigs came forward. Probably owing to milk going off and) the shortage of feed there was no demand for pigs. Really good quality pigs werei going at gift prices. Only about five pens of store sheep had been dealt with before the luncheon adjournment, one sale only being effected under the* hammer, this being of a line of empty ewes. There was a large yarding of store sheep to be put through. The following is tho business transacted under the hammer:—
