WAIPIRO BAY SCHOOL.

Thirteen householders attended the annui'tl meeting of householders, the Rev. Mr. Pigotb being voted to the chair. The headmaster, Mr. Ward, gave a report of the year’s work, which was received with acclamation, and; the chairman read the committee’s report, which showed that a considerable amount of work had been done by the committee. It alluded most sympathetically to the death of Mr. Sweeney’s ward, a- school girl, who passed away quite recently. A new feature during the past year was the swimming carnival at Puketiti, the residence of Mr. A. B, Williams, which had been a. great success, and was in future to bo held annually. Tho whole of the school buildings had been painted and a very good job had been done by the contractor, Mr. A. A. Carson, and on the visit of the chairman of the Board, Mr. G. F. tho complete renovation of the school residence had been promised, on condition that the headmaster placed a bride therein. The report was adopted. The balance-sheet showed a credit of nearly £2O. There wore eight candidates proposed for tho incoming committee, the following being elected Messrs W. S Thompson, Larsen, 11. Williams, F. Sweeney, and the Rev. J. Pigott. At the subsequent meeting of the committee the Rev. J. Pigott was fleeted chairman, with Mr. Larsen secretary and treasurer. —(Own correspondent.)
