WEDDING BELLS.

Glu- Waipiro correspondent writes: A wedding of much localjnterest took place at Ihungia station on April 19th, when Miss Mavis Hob-croft, youngest daughter of Mrs Ilobcroft, was married to Mr Hugh Blanchard Chalmers, of Waitahaia. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr William Hobcroft, of Whaka-a-angiangi, looked veiy sweet and pretty in Tier bridal frock of white radium 'idee over' satin, draped with handsomely beaded panels of white georgette. She also wore a veil with orango blossoms, and carried a bouquet of white cosmos and maidenhair fern. She was attended bv little Miss Amy Burdett as bridesmaid, who wore rose pink silk beaded in silver, with a bouquet of pink cosmos and maidenhair fern? The bridegroom was attended by Mr R. B. Temple, of Waipiro Bay, as best man. The Rev. C. W. W r att performed i'the ceremony.

The 19th was the first day of the late “big rain,” but in spite of the weather twenty-seven guests attended- the reception, after which tin*, happy couple left by car for Auckland, where the honeymoon is to bo spent. ,
