REVELATION IN AUCKLAND

Unexpected wealtli was revealed in the estate of a watersider whose deceased estate is being administered by the Public Trustee. The deceased occupied a. room in a lodging house, and: the police at bis death discovered! £l4 in cash, and Savings Bank accounts valued at about £I4OO. Subsequently the Trustee’s officials found deposit receipts and. war loan certificates of a total value of approximately £3OOO, seeveted 1 in a tin containing provisions. The deceased was apparently well educated ancl widely travelled. It is thought lie had! no relatives in New Zealand.
