AUTUMN FAIR.
Country residents are reminded of the grand autumn fair to be held to-monpw and Friday nights in the Makaraka I Tall. A most interesting and enjoyablo evening has been arranged, as will bo,sen from the detailed programme in this issue. Special attention is called to .the Highland dancing with, items in costume ,bv the pupils of Miss Flora Shaw. This is sure to attract a large audience. Much interest has been evoked by the ladies’ hairdressing competition, which will be a revelation o! the peculiar anil unknown gifts some gentlemen possess. Anxious voting men will bo assisted in discovering the date of their wedding day .with the sympathetic interest of the Lady- of Mystery, find father can leant to dress the baby, by practising on the bottles, in the bottle-dressing competition. ■ There will be well-stocked stalls to purchase from.
