CHRISTCHURCH, this day

A man was killed at Lyttelton tunnel by the 8.20 a.m. train from Lyttelton to Christchurch. Tho engine driver felt a bump, but could see nothing in the smoke. A gang wenL through the tunnel, and found the badly-mutilated and almost unrecognisable remains of an elderly man, supposed to ho Mr. <*. H. Parsons, public accountant, of Christchurch. It is not known uhether he fell off the train or walked into tho tunnel.
