Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from (heir head office under date 16th inst:— "Butter market, no improvement.. Imports into United Kingdom for month ended March were 438,000 cwt., against 419,0Q0ewt. for corresponding period last year. We quote:—N.Z. 'salted 142 s (150 s); Australian ga'q., 128 s (140 s); finest Australian salted and unsalted,
136 s (1465.) Cheese market weak: — N.Z. white 03s (106 s): N.Z. colored 100 s (108 s.)" Last week's quotations aro given in parenthesis.
The Bank of New Zealand has received' the following cablet from their their head office under date 26th inst:— "Wethers weaker; ewes depressed', owing heavy, arrivals Argentine- boef, very little doing, quotations nominal, withers, light to 9d, heavy 5d to 6£d, ewes, 4£di to 6d'; lambs, 10id to Hid', seconds, 9j,di to 10d.
