Baden Powell, s.s. (4.50 a.m.), 174 tons, Macpherson, for Napier and! Wellington.

The Arabura was being dispatched from Auckland' at 2 p.m. to-d'ay for Tokomarui Bay and Gisborne. She is to be tendered here upon arrival to-morrow with the launch for inward passengers. Tl>e launch for outward passengers tomorrow is posted for 7 p.m., the Arahura later sailing ion* Napier. Returning lo Gisborne on Friday morning the steamer is to be tendered! at; 6 o'clock -with one launch only for inward l and outward passengers. Shei steams afterwards for Auckland direct.

Leaving Duneditii on Saturday evening the Wanaka should have worked Oamaru yesterday, leaving last night for Timaru, Lytteltori, and Wellington to continue loading produce far Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due here about tho 7th inst.

At 5 p.m. to-day the s.s. Waipara is to be' dispatched from Auckland: for Gisborne to continue loading for West Coast of England ports and London. The sihip should arrive here early on Thursday morning. She is expected to be dispatched hence on Friday for Napier to continue lifting cargo.-

The Opawa, now at New Plymouth, L'oes on to YYangamii, and is due at Gisbornei from the latter port about May 10. After loading cargo here for London the steamer is to proceed to Napier, tbon to Wellington far final dispatch. The loading of the Wcstimeath at Hicks Bay in being continued, and she should get away in a fow days' time for Auckland and Opua. She sails from thu latter port about May 10 for London, via Monte Video and Las Palmas. /

The llipplo arrives from Napier in the morning, and sails at 5 p.m. for tho Coast and Wellington.

The Awahou is to leave Auckland to-day, and is due at Gisborne on Friday.

The Putiki is expected to leave Westport to-morrow for Waikokopu and Gisborne. This steamer should reach here on Monday next.

Tiic Tiroa is daiei in Auckland' to-night from tho. Coast. She should be dispatched to-morrow evening for Coast bays and Gisborne.

After an enforced stay of several weeks in port while repairs have been in progress, tho s.s. Baden Powell was dispatchcdl from Gisborno early this morning fu|i- Napier and Wellington. Tho German barque Hinschenfeld'e, which recently went aground on a sandbank on the western side of Spencer Gulf, has been refloated by two tugs, and lias continued the voyage to South Africa.

The Discovery, tho well-known exploring ship, has been sold to the Government of the Falkland Islands, and will be used as a survey ship.

The Modjokerta, a new Dutch steamer, of 8400 tons, arrived at Sydney on April 7 from Hamburg and Rotterdam, via Eiemantle and Adelaide. The steamer is British-built, being constructed last year at Sunderland. She is a geared: turbine vessel.

The 12,000-ton motor ship Missourian,, built by Wm. Cramp and Sons Ship and Engine Building Company for the American Hawaiian Steamship Company, lecently completed a maiden voyage of 20,000 miles, during which period no repairs of any sort were carried out. The total fuel consumed l worked out at about sixteen tons daily for an average speed of twelve knots.
