RAKAUROA SCHOOL.

There was a fair attendance at the householders meeting at Rakauroa schoolhouso on April 23, Mr. M. P. Poole being elected chairman. Tho school report for the year was considered very satisfactory. The following committee wero elected for the ensuing year:—Messrs. ~VV. E. Shaw, J, J. Langer, G. Wilkins, R. O. Beaufoy; and M. P. Poole. Mr. W. E. Shaw was elected chairman and treasurer and Mr. M. P. Poole secretary of tho new committee, for the ensuing year.

It was decided to place on the minutes an expression of regret at Mr. Jas. McPhee's resignation as chairman, a, position ho has occupied for the past twenty years to the general satisfaction of the -residents of the district. —(Correspondent).
