The unemployed held a rally later and marched to Parliament, the demonstrators carrying a Red flag, with a Soviet star. . Chancellor Seipel could not immediately receive the deputation, whereupon there was a tumult and the crowd attempted to storm entrances to Parliament and pelted the police with missiles. Several revolver phots were fired, upon which the foot and horse police drew their swords and dispersed the demonstrators, wounding five. Seipel later told a deputation that he could not do more than he was doing.
