HAWKE'S BAY CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Per Press Association.) -;V ' HASTINGS, last night. The- Hawke's Bay tennis championships were continued to-day. Heavy rain fell in the morning, but the weather cleared •ill the afternoon and splendid tennis was witnessed in the semi-finals and finals, especially.in the ladies' doubles. , Following are the results: — - LADIES' DOUBLES. Semi-final: Mrs Scott Watson and Mi'sd MacFarlane beat Mrs Green and Miss Fenwick, B—lo, 6—3, 6—3; Misses! Lance and Lloyd beat Mrs Martland and Miss Kennedy, 6—l, 6—3. Final: Misses Lance and Lloyd beat Mrs Scott-Watson and Miss MacFarlane, 6-2, 10-S. MEN'S DOUBLES. Finai: Eobson and Griffith beat Edmondson and McDougall, 6—4, 6—o. LADIES' SINGLES. Fourth round: Miss Knight beat Miss Howe;-2—6, 6—3. 6—2; Miss Lloyd beat Miss Lance by default. Serii-flnal: Miss Knight beat Mrs Hodges, 6—4, 6—3. COMBINED DOUBLES. Semi-final: Milburn and Miss Clark beat Moir and Miss Howe, 6—3, 6—l: Smyth and Miss Lanco beat Page and Miss Well wood, 6—2, 2—6, 10—8. Final: Smyth and Miss Lance beat Milbum;and Miss Clark, 6—l, : MEN'S SINGLES. Third round: Edmondson beat Snodgrass, 6—4, 6—3; Walker beat S. Powdrell, B—6, 6—3. Fourth round:—J. Powdrell beat McDougall,- 3—6, 6—4, 6—o; Young beat Milburn, 3—6, 11—9, Walker ' beat Field by default.
