SpAHLINGER'S SERUM TO HAND. SOLE USE BY CHEISTCHURCH DOCTOK. (Per Press Association.) CHEISTCHURCH, last night. Writing to a relative in Christchurch, Dr. I. C. Maclntyre, who Went Home some time ago to pursue his studies in connection with his profession, specialising in tuberculosis, states: "Dr. Spahlinger has sent scrum .for me, and I amfto be the only one v%& use it in New Zealand. Dr. Spaninsists that as I have been with him and understand his serum and methods, I am to bo the one to use it."

In a further letter Dr. Melntyre writes: "I told you about Dr. Spahlinger in my last letter. Since then I have received -another letter from him, impressing upon me the importance contained in the fact that ho sent the scrum for my exclusive and private use. I wrote to Dr. Spahlinger, giving my solemn promise to adhere to the conditions under which he has given the serum to. me. The serum sent is pulmonary, but Dr. Spahlinger says that as soon as he returns from u brief holiday he will forward a supply of surgical serum: Sir James Allen has discussed tho matter at length •with me, and says I will have to work in conjunction with the New Zealand Government, as Dr. Spahlinger will later provide the Government with serum, as the result of Sir James' visits to Switzerland, on condition that I shall be responsible for its use in the^ominion."
