SCHOOL SWIMMING SPORTS.

The annual combined primary schools swimming sports wore held at the Gisborne School baths this afternoon. V'arious schools took part, in tho carnival, all available space around the baths being occupied by a crowd of excited children. The" disposal of the Joyce Shield for the year is being decided, the shield at present being held by the Gisborne school, and is to go to the school securing the highest total oi points in various events, breast stroke, back swimming, 25 and 100 yards, relay and girls’ 25 yards.
