A. very pleasant- time was spent on the Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club’s courts at Kaiti last Saturday, when tho lady members of the club played a progressive tournament. The weather and courts were all that could bo desired. Mrs Harper won the first prize in tho A grade, and Miss Sherratt won the B prize. Tho following are the players and scores: Mesdames Harper 24, Cover 20, Barlow 20, Maude 17, Bullard 20, Symcs 17, Burke 16, Jamison 16, Claro 20, Crawford 8, Misses Rees 19, Cotterill 14, Matthews 20, Bull 17, Sherratt 24, McKenzie 10.
