(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Taranaki bowlers played two matches this morning. They defeated the Dominion road club by 79 to 73 in a fourrink game, but lost to M'ount Eden by 132 to 82, in a five-rink game. PAHIATUA, this day. Kararaina Whitu, a native woman, aged 32, a resident of Homewood, witti her husband and daughter, visited JElatana for pains in the heart and legs. She was there about a week, and her
condition improved. She left on Sat- * urday and got worse on the journey. She left the train here and went to
Mangamutu. Sho was assisted to bed. 'She had faith in Ratana, and thought she would get better so that no doctor was called in. She died on Tuesday. At an inquest to-day the medical evidence showed that death was probably due to heart disease and dropsy. The coroner, Mr. Wilson, told the natives that they must not rely on Batana, but must call medical aid for organic diseases. Deceased was attended by a * Master ton doctor about a year ago.,
