' (To the Editor of the Herald.) .Sir, —I am sure “Country Resident’ will lnivc many supporters, both town un<4 country. 1 met one evening in Stout Street a. little after five as many as 20 cyclists, all without lights. Another grievance the town motorist has is this: Why are people .allowed to walk on the traffic part of the bridge? Themis a footway provided for them and it is a marvel that no serious accident has occurred, hut perhaps the authorities are waiting till some one is killed before they take any steps to prevent -an accident. After the pictures at night it is difficult for a mere motorist to cross the Haiti bridge, and as Country Resident. truthfully writes the blame invariably falls on tlio driver of the motor car.—l am, etc., • TOWN RESIDENT.
