The Daily Express Munich correspondent states that while Britain is still suffering from war-time liquor restrictions, .Munich residents joyously celebrated the return of the beer drinkers' status quo. A gigantic statue of Gargbrinus, the beer god, was .erected in the principal hall, and cellars were connected with the mouth of the statue, from which was poured a continuous stream of beer of pre-war strength, which was supplied free to hundreds rf men, women, tund children, who brought tankards, pots and pans, and drank to the beer god, and participated in dances.
